Partnerships

The orphanage being assisted by Freedom Waters Foundation was founded by American missionaries, in the 1950's to provide a safe rural home for Bahamian orphaned children. Today, this sanctuary for children, is operated by the Brethren Church Of Nassau, in Partnership with the Bahamian Department of Social Services.

Freedom Waters Foundation’s initial objective of organic management of a two-acre tropical fruit orchard, utilizing a “green cargo delivery boat”, quickly grew into a comprehensive aid and sustainability program, with many benefits for the children.

We engage the children in educational and recreational activities, and import specific items with every mission, while simultaneously developing sustainability of the home.

Our close relationship with the home, keeps us aware of their needs, and we continue to accept donations for this program. As our support grows, we continue to broaden these efforts.
