Ahoy!  Freedom Waters Friends!       

Freedom Waters Foundation Friends are"Making It Happen!

Almost 4 years old, this organization is truly blessed with incredibly supportive friends/volunteers!  I remain pleasantly overwhelmed.  Thank you so very much!  Truly it is your support and energy that creates the smiles and therapeutic effects within our activities!  (We are 100% funded by private donations and our volunteer fundraising efforts. 99.9% of all programs are accomplishe through volunteer hours.)

Latest Gifts:

  • $100 - Donation from DeMarco Tile, Naples, FL
  • $100 - Surface Water Management - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • $100 - Friend of FWF, Naples for Painting My Tomorrow
  • $300 - from a close friend in Palm Beach, FL
  • $412.50 - from a close friend/volunteer in Naples, FL. This contribution is to pay the filing fees for our name and logo to be legally protected, within the state and nationally.

In-kind donations:

  • The Philharmonic Center for the Arts Marketing Team, Naples - donating thier time and talent to create ads/posters for our February 14, "Painting My Tomorrow" Art Show
  • Swope, Lamberson, CPA's, Naples - donate their time and talent to take care of all our taxes, quarterly and annually.
  • The Livingston Firm (Patent Attorneys), Naples - This law firm are donating their time and energy in the filing of the protection of our name and logo.
  • Claudia Lucas - Photographer, Naples - donating her talent, ongoingly, for our "Painting My Tomorrow" event.
  • Little Ceasar's Pizza (Rattlesnake Hammok Road), Naples - Donating numerous pizzas for our programs
  • AMIKIDS - Donate the use of their vessels and their crew often and did again on Nov. 21, 2009
  • Canvas on Demand - Raffle Kit for a Canvas Photo to be used at the Naples Boat Show


Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County - Mark Your Calendars:
Winterfest Boat Parade, Ft. Lauderdale, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009. We will be hosting our Winterfest Boat Parade Potluck once again. Please see the attached flyer.

Ft. Lauderdale Adaptive Sailing!!!! -  Dania Beach, Dec. 13, 2009 - Volunteer, Hugh Keough has taken the lead and coordinated the next adaptive sailing day in Ft. Lauderdale. Need more volunteers for this Sunday to assist in sailing.  Please call Hugh at 954-547-4608.

Dania Beach Flea Market - Dania Beach, March 18-21, 2010 - We are now accepting donations of used Marine Merchandise in the Broward County area, to use at this wonderful fundraising opportunity.

Weller Days - Yacht outings for children with cancer, other life threatening illnesses and individuals with other special needs. Children invited through Joe DiMaggio Hospital, Chris Everet's Children's Hospital, Gilda's Club and other Social Service Agencies - Upcoming:

Please feel free to contact us if you know a child that would benefit from our Weller Days.  Also, we always welcome new Yacht owners in joining our fleet of hosts.

Naples/Collier  County - Mark your Calendars!
Weller Days - Yacht outings for children with cancer, other life threatening illnesses and individuals with other special needs. Children invited through Lee Memorial Hospital, Candlighters and other special needs organizations in Collier and Lee Counties.  

  • Nov. 17 and 18 - Weller Day with Eden Florida, a school for children with Autism
  • Dec. 13 - Weller Day - Partnering with Freedom Boat Club, Lee Memorial Hospital and Ladies Let's Go Fishing! - Hosting 13 families.


Christmas ParadeChristmas Parade
Christmas parade in Naples - Collier County Parks and Recreation and Freedom Waters Show of our adaptive dinghy. Thanks to our reindeer Kate Peterson and our driver, Bill Meisner


Naples other Activities to Note:

  • Jan. 10, 2010 - The Balloon Project - Kick-off event for "Painting My Tomorrow" 
  • Jan. 21- 24, 2010 - Naples Boat Show - Goodlette and 41 - All Volunteers and Participants welcome to assist!
  • February 14, 2010 - "Painting My Tomorrow" Art Show and Sale - Sunday, February 14, 2010, 1-4 p.m. - The Philharmonic Center for the Arts  Sponsors welcome!

Sailing - All inclusive, accessible sailing, regardless of ability - In cooperation with Collier County Parks and Recreation - Closed for the holidays. Reopening Jan.12.
The Adaptive Sailing program, managed by Collier County Parks and Recreation is now open for the season, at Lake Avalon, Sudgen Regional Park.  
Days and Hours are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12-3 p.m. People of all abilities are welcome!  Please call ahead with any special concerns: 239-580-9117 Patricia or 239-248-1120 Debby.  We look forward to seeing everyone again!

Others items to Note:

FWF Marine Merchandise Program - FWF continues to accept marine items as a donation. We had such a successful time at the Dania Flea Market in 2009, that we are returning in March 2010.  Please contact us for additional information.

FREEDOM WATERS'  "Thank you from the Heart" program is a great way for you to show someone how special they are or to thank a client for their business, mark a significant birthday, anniversary or to give a very special gift -  consider donating $500 to FREEDOM WATERS to underwrite a day's outing on the water for a child with cancer, his/her family and friends.  FREEDOM WATERS will coordinate all arrangements for the boat, captain, food & beverages, as well as, the special guests.  And, FWF will send a special plaque acknowledging your donation to you and your honorary.
