Freedom Waters Foundation makes its Debut
Freedom Waters Foundation is Making Waves in Naples!
Freedom Waters Foundation makes a splash of a debut in Naples, at the Marine Industries Association of Collier County’s (MIACC) Bayfront Marina Boat Show, June 17 and 18. MIACC has chosen Freedom Waters Foundation as the charity of choice to benefit from the proceeds of this June Boat Show.
Freedom Waters Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing boating opportunities and marine related education for people with Special Needs and youth at risk. Programs include: yacht outings for children with cancer/special needs and their families; all inclusive sailing programs/regattas; and fishing programs ----all on the water. Freedom Waters Foundation operates in three counties currently: Collier, Broward and Palm Beach, with the goal to have these programs available nationwide.
Freedom Waters Foundation recruits boat/yacht owners, captains, marine industry vendors/volunteers to mentor/teach the participants, in turn building a greater sense of community. Participants come from a variety of Social Service agencies and local hospital referrals.
There is nothing greater than seeing the smiles on all the faces of those who participate – those with special needs and those providing the services/boats.
Freedom Waters Foundation is looking forward to getting more of the Boating Community involved and getting more individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity—out on the water!
Hope to see you at the Bayfront Boat Show!
